Jason Aarons

FOUNDER AND EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

Jason  is well-known and respected in the jewellery and publishing sectors in South Africa.

His past  jewellery portfolio includes having been the conceptualiser and founding Editor-in-Chief of JZA - Your Jewellery Magazine; publisher of SA Jewellery News , the official publication of the Jewellery Council of South Africa (JCSA); publisher and co-concept developer of Jewellex Today! - a publication launched in the 2000s for the JCSA's Jewellex trade show; past publisher of African Odyssey - a JCSA-endorsed publication - aimed at promoting South and southern Africa jewellery and related sectors overseas;  served as a past member of the then-known Jewellex International organising committee. 

He has also been invited to attend the Vicenza Oro jewellery show in Italy  for 10+ years, the Bangkok Jewellery and Gems Fair, and the World Jewellery Show in Canada. 

In 2021 Jason established an alliance partnershp with the CoNNect Agency in the UK and together launched a three-month mentorship programme for a South African jewellery designer. He has a successful and  ongoing relationship with Solitaire Magazine (Asia Pacific) and a global network of jewellery publications, editors, writers and aficionados – presently being expanded further into Africa.

Other roles included that of Editor-in-Chief of Nedbank 'Dezign Cuts' in the early 2000s - the first and only publication aimed exclusively at 18–24-year-olds in the jewellery, diamond and related sector; international and African jewellery correspondent – ML (Millionaire Lifestyle) Magazine. He also served as a freelance jewellery and watch writer for South African 'style' magazine.
